Thank you Shelia for coming out this morning and sticking it out with me through the pouring rain! All I could hear in my head was my Air Force Training Instructor yelling, "If it ain't raining, you ain't training!" We rode 13 miles this morning and now I'm charged for the day. Great temperatures this morning, perfect for the ride. Had to modify the route just slightly due to last nights storms, there were a couple trees down across two roads.

Good Morning All! Looks like fairly decent weather for the ride this morning, very comfortable temps. May have some wet roads to contend with. But after last nights storms, I'm going to try to scope out the route prior to be sure the streets are clear of debris. The storm blew up right over the area we are riding today and of course there were a few reports of wind/tree damage. See you at the park at 8!

Good Morning to you all! So, as it turns out, my worry about my recent health issues keeping me from the group ride were unfounded, everything is fine and I am good to go. I plan to be there ready to ride! Just hope I can keep up with everyone, haha. Less than a week away, see you all soon!

Hello All,

I hope this message reaches you all. Due to some recent health issues, it is currently up in the air weather or not I will make the June 1st group ride. I am still planning to attend, however, I wanted to say that in the event I cannot, please feel free to continue the group ride with the rest if you choose. I will update again if in fact I will not be there. Thanks!

Full disclosure, I am a beginner cyclist. I also have a genetic heart disease that limits my max. heart rate during exercise. Having said this, whomever shows up for this group ride may leave me pretty quickly, ha. However, I just finished school freeing up my schedule until September when I go back. So this leaves me with plenty of time to train and get prepared. I'm looking forward to raising money and awareness for the fight against childhood cancer. I'm equally excited about getting back into shape and enjoying being outdoors again.
