Kickoff Ride | Milwaukee to Kenosha

Come on out and kickoff the GCC with a ride out to The Buzz Cafe in Kenosha!
We will gather at the Colectivo on the lakefront (1701 N Lincoln Memorial Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53202) and ride out to The Buzz Cafe (5621 6th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53140) and back to Colectivo. Expect the ride to be about 70 miles.
I would like this to be somewhat spirited at a ~16mph pace (it would be great to finish by lunch time!). Please be aware of your limitations with the distance, and bring ride snacks and water. We can stop along the way according to the needs of the group. We will be riding on the road so make sure you are comfortable riding in a group, in traffic.

Sorry I cannot make this kickoff ride... heading to Cincinnati to meet with some literacy folks (www.freedomtoreadinc.org). But to be sure I'll be riding throughout JUNE!!! Cancer SUCKS!!

This is awesome. I am one of the owners of The Buzz. This is my second year with GCC. I'm going to try to rearrange my schedule to meet you guys in Milwaukee and ride the first half.

Hey all,
I did some recon and followed the Komoot recommended route to Kenosha this weekend. It went well, and was very scenic. There's a lot of big roads, but there's plenty of shoulder space and not *too* much traffic.
