One last dam ride

Enjoy the sites of the north metro. Meet at the Coon Rapids dam on the Brooklyn Park side and bike to French Lake Park and back again. Total ride would be 42 miles. By this point in the month it can make or break you.

The portions of the trail that were closed are now open again. They just covered them with liquid seal coat. So the main route is still an option. Depending on how many show up we can decide as a group which way to go and how long.

Sound like it’s going to be very hot and humid for the ride. Make sure to bring lots of fluids. We can play it as we go distance wise

Arrived at 8:50 and looked for other bikers.
American Diabetes ride and the construction made it tough.

My Bad, all the others I saw were for June 1st and I just didn't pay attention, I just assumed it was a kick-off ride.
My daughter has a softball tournament the 29th.
I did get 45 miles in. Best of luck!

I put this route up as an option if the primary route is still closed.
Option 2 would go down to the stone arch bridge 26 miles round trip.
Option 3 would go all the way down to the minnehaha falls 40 miles round trip.

I have good news bad news for those interested in the ride.
I went for a ride this morning on a good part of this route, and found out that starting June 3rd a lot of the trail from the dam west will be closed for resurfacing 🤨
I was thinking about rerouting and sticking with the dam theme and going south along the river down to minehaha falls. It will be the same 40 miles. With no detours.

No problem. The extended forecast for next Saturday is looking good, so I will confirm for the Rosemount ride. It will be a change of scenery for me
