A little over 21 miles added to my #gccusa2017 total today. Only 51 more miles to go before the end of June.
37 miles today brings my June total to 575. Only 85 more miles to go.
Also, my oldest child started driving today.
10 days left in my #GCCUSA2017. Over 500 miles riden in June. Less than 150 miles left.
Another 30ish miles today for the #GCCUSA2017. On the mountain bike today. Up and down Waterton Canyon; on the single tracks in Chatfield State Park; then back home.
Only 184 miles to reach my goal for the month.
After brewing today, I went on a tiny little "lunch ride". Just for fun, I stopped in to a couple or three breweries.
445 miles done. Only 215 to go.
Almost 22 miles today. Half way through the month, I'm 62% done with my #GCCUSA2017 goal.
Most miles in a day (almost 50) and biggest elevation gain (over 2000 feet) of #GCCUSA2017. Not too bad for #KickCancersButtDay
390 miles down. Only 270 to go!
Over halfway done with my Great Cycle Challenge pledge. Tomorrow is #KickCancersButtDay so any donations made will be matched. 340 miles down. Only 320 to go.
Pretty decent riding day and my longest single ride of this years Great Cycle Challenge. 240 miles down. Only 420 left to go.
My lowest day for total miles, but also my longest ride of this challenge.
212 miles done. Only 448 left to go.
Taking it easy today ... Easy 13 mile evening ride. Finishing up on stationary watching Stanley Cup Finals.
Only 485 left to go.
40 mile bike ride. 4 breweries.
Chain Reaction Brewing Company, Wit's End Brewing Company, Strange Craft Beer Company, Boggy Draw Brewery
I've completed over 160 miles in the Great Cycle Challenge. Only 500 left to go.
117 miles logged. Only 543 left to go. My loving family joined me for about 20 miles today.
After 2 days, I've ridden 76 miles. Putting me well ahead of the 22 Miles Per Day needed to hit my goal. The weekend is here so I can make an even bigger dent in this thing. My distance ranks me 9th in Colorado and 197th in the country. Not a bad start.
Only 584 miles to go! 🚴
Feeling better today than yesterday morning, but I am still slower than I like.
At least I'm improving
And ... only 600 more miles to go!
My first ride of this challenge was in to work. It was tough. My legs were tired and I felt like I was going slow (because I was going slow). Probably should have ridden more in May to prepare for this trip. I'm sure this will get easier as the month goes on.
Only 646 more miles to go ...
Thanks for all who have donated. I'm always surprised and humbled by the generosity of those who help me out with these things.
Currently, I'm ranked 5th in Colorado fund-raising :-)
I decided to increase my mileage goal to match the $560 donated so far.
This June, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children’s Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
