How to Log Miles

Record your rides and log your miles for every ride you complete during September, as you track your progress towards your goal! 

You can log your miles in the following ways:

1. The Great Cycle Challenge app

The Great Cycle Challenge app allows you to easily record your miles and will automatically add each ride straight onto your rider profile page (including the miles ridden, date and journey).

To download the app, follow one of the links below:


2. Connect to Strava or MapMyRide

If you already use Strava or MapMyFitness (which includes MapMyRide and MapMyRun) then you can simply connect your account to take part in the challenge.

  • Strava: To sync your Strava profile, visit the Connect Apps page of your Great Cycle Challenge dashboard and press the orange 'Strava Connect' button. 
  • MapMyFitness/Ride/Run: MapMyFitness/Ride/Run integration is also available and can be located on the Connect Apps page of your dashboard.

3. Your own GPS device

Already use a GPS enabled device like a Garmin to track your rides? No problem. You can upload your ride file to your Great Cycle Challenge account and have your rides (and miles) added to your rider profile page.

If you don't want to upload a file, then you can easily add your miles manually.

4. Manually

If you are using a standard odometer or taking part in the Spin Bike Challenge, you can add your miles manually into your Great Cycle Challenge dashboard by selecting the "add/delete rides" tab on the dashboard sidebar.
