My profile picture brings about a lot of different feelings for me: confusion, anger, sadness, coincidence... At the time I took that picture, we had no idea that he had cancer; it was just a couple months before he was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma. I participated in the Great Cycle Challenge in Quebec Canada last year simply because I could and I thought it was a nice thing to do. I had a bike, time, and a direct bike path to work 9 miles away.
After moving back to the U.S. in September of 2020, we had about a month of a crazy but normal life until my son got sick. A month later (the day we were supposed to buy our new house) he was officially diagnosed with cancer.
Family and friends have been incredibly supportive, and I am sure they will continue to be throughout our journey, but Graham is not alone. Your support here will contribute to research helping to cure neuroblastoma and other forms of childhood cancer.
