Strength. Courage. Perseverance. Healing. These are the inspirational words that I’m striving for in what’s been the worst year of my life. In the face of heartbreaking personal tragedy, where does one find the motivation to keep going? For me its these kids, these brave, resilient kids who endure the pain of this disease, day in and day out, and still manage to smile. I ride not only to help them but because I can learn from them— how to be bold, how to be brave, and how, eventually, to overcome.
