So excited for year #4 and the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? I ride for a sweet little girl named Maggie a special friend's daughter who lost her battle at the young age of 2 years old. While Maggie was undergoing treatment I followed her mom's heartbreaking CaringBridge posts and felt so helpless. This challenge allows me to ride for Maggie and her family. Maggie is my little angel and we ride together. I also ride in memory of Conor the nephew of my dear friend Bonnie. Also little Max the nephew of a dear college friend Beth that lost his life at 9 months old. Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by keeping me in your prayers for a safe ride this September and if possible making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve. If you have anyone that you would like me to dedicate a ride for please let me know.
I am so grateful to the many people that have supported me for the past 3 years and look forward to YEAR #4. Together we can make a difference and changes little lives.
