I'm Riding For
Jake Pennar

9-year-old passed away peacefully in January 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer. In October 2018, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. after numerous surgeries an chemotherapy he exceeded expectations at every stage. He endured additional chemotherapy and surgery followed by radiation treatment which ended in September 2019. Sadly, the cancer returned in September 2020 after he rode a mile a day for 24 days in the 2020 GCC. Jake is my motivation in the 2021 GCC. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers. RIP big guy!
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! This is my sixth year riding for these incredible kids. I rode 585 miles in 2020 and plan on exceeding 600 miles this year along with a fundraising goal of $2,500.
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change these little lives.
Thank you so much!
