I'm Riding For

This year I'm riding in support of Nat. I'm asking you to consider joining me. Nat was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at the age of 13 and has since endured multiple surgeries and countless rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Two years later, Nat is in the fight of her life. You are a Rock, Nathalia, keep up the fight! We received this message from her mom, Katy: "It's been a whirlwind week, emotionally taxing and sadness mixed with joy. Just the other week, we found that Nat's tumor was back again, and it's now wrapped around her spinal cord. And because the tumor is pressing too hard on her spine, our beautiful daughter is now paralyzed from the waist down...she can't walk or stand. The doctors aren't sure how much time she has, maybe 1-6 months, we just don't know. We're just focusing on taking one-day-at-a-time and enjoying one another."

My Story

2 Feb 2019

This June, I am once again taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Each year, more than 15,000 kids and young adults are diagnosed with cancer—that’s about 42 per day.

Though the 5-year-survival rate for childhood cancers has reached 80 percent, nearly 2,000 kids under age 19 die each year, making cancer the leading killer of children by disease.

And that’s just in the United States.

Every year, this cause is a little nearer a little dearer to me. We all know at least one child whose life has been changed forever by cancer. For the kids in the fight, I'm right beside you. For the parents, the families, the doctors and the researchers, I'm praying for you.

And so I ride.

And I ask you to support this cause through my rider's page.

In doing so you are funding treatments and you are funding research.

You are giving support to families sitting in clinics and hospitals far from their homes.

You are changing the future of little lives!

I’d like to thank Darryl Brunk for his generous contribution to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund through the 2019 Great Cycle Challenge!

Many of you know how near this is to my heart, and many of you have supported my fundraising efforts in past years.

Darryl, you’ve become habitually good! I really appreciate your support year after year in this fight to end childhood cancer.
