This was a very satisfying experience for me last year.
So, for a second year, this September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to Fight Kids' Cancer.
The picture above is me and two favorite riding partners granddaughters Alice on the left and Lucy on the right. Alice can now rider her Grandma Linda's bike and use her helmet.
Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.

I finally got out for a ride on my new bike.
I think we are going to get along very well.
Rode about 13.5 on the flat for a starter ride. There was a pretty good head wind but I did an out and back, so it blew me home.Posted 10 days ago

Just signed up for a second year.21 Jan 2021
It is still a a little cold to riding here in North Idaho but I signed up, today, for the Great Cycle Challenge to fight Kids Cancer.
Not only does it support a cause that is meaningful to me, it also supports my love of bicycling both with friends and family or alone.
I have set my first goal at $5oo as I put a toe back in the water. Last year, do to many generous supporters, I had to readjust my goal five times. I finished raising just under $2500.Posted 82 days ago
