I'm Riding For
Jill Bucklin

Jill was an amazing young girl who cared deeply about many things, especially animals, and she wanted to be a veterinarian when she grew up. When she was just 7 years old she was diagnosed with a rare muscle tumor, rhabdomyosarcoma. She was treated at CHOP and Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. When the cancer returned, she had her right arm amputated and then a bone marrow transplant in NY. She was fierce. She played one armed softball, rode horses, skied, and sang in her church choir. She battled and fought courageously for three more years before she died at 10 years of age. Her smile, like her, was bright and full of promise! The GCC allows me to do two important things; one is to honor the life of Jill Bucklin and the other is to raise money to help fight and kick cancer's butt. Please consider helping me! Jill and all kids like her, deserve it! My goal is 250 miles of cycling in September and to raise $2,500.00. I would be so grateful for any support and assistance! Thank you!
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
