All of the kids that are fighting for a cure each and every day.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.

  • Final Day & Goal Hit!!!
    30 Sep 2021

    I made it! Goal complete!!!!

I wanted to share the news that this morning before work I was able to log the last 12 miles to hit the 200 mile goal. It was sure a challenge for the past week and a half!

The start of the month of September I struggled with getting the weather to cooperate. The warm sunny days would set off the rain by the time I would clock out for the day. My family had a planned vacation that kept me off the bike for almost two weeks! The 200 mile goal was forced to be complete the last 11 days of the month.

Fortunately for me, a good friend and coworker Mike, purchased a bike and helped out with riding 50 miles alongside with me to ride toward the 200 mile goal. His support helped a lot to get over the tough days of riding alone.

The last few days I struggled with sore legs and riding a lot in the dark and cold mornings. Many times out of my comfort zone but knowing that this challenge was supported by my friends and family made it all worthwhile. Your donation to a great cause is still very much appreciated.

Today marks September 30th and my goal has been hit. Together we hit $539 raised and the mile goal achieved. A bit sore but so very proud of this fundraiser.

Many thanks to all that have showed me support this year! I am forever grateful.
