quick update. Rode 18 miles on a beautiful day that quickly became a worse day. No, no physical injury, thank goodness, but a personal one that has created a mess in my world.
Long story short, my friend's parked car was broken into and my purse was stolen. Credit cards were used and cash taken as well as my driver's license. Eyeglasses and my epi-pens. There is no way to describe this feeling. But we are okay, and this can be replaced. My purse was under my coat, so, I thought it would be okay. Lessons learned life lessons. Be careful where you park.
Keep riding, and be well.
From Royalton to Royalton back
Riding with friend made the time go faster. And the miles.
I have upped my monetary goal $2000 since I reached my $1500. Who would have thought!! I can not believe the generous donation from wonderful people. It gives me faith again.
Wednesday is match day! I hope I hit that new goal I have set.
I believe it is possible.
Yup. Tough wind pushing me backwards as I struggle up the hills I usually conquer. Beautiful day but that wind. Felt like I was going backwards but I knew I was going forward.
I am sure many times during cancer treatments the families feel like they are going backwards as well.
This is why I push on and on. We must find a cure for this!!!
Beautiful fall day. I had my hopes set on my personal best with the miles I would ride today, but I didn't succeed. Not a big deal. The ache in my neck reminded me that sometimes you don't feel well enough to keep going, but I pushed myself the 15 miles that I could. I have other chances to get on the bike and head out for that 24 miles personal best!
So thank you for encouraging me to keep going, because it is for the kids that are suffering from much more than a kink in their neck. And some of them don't get another chance. I will keep riding as long as you all keep donating! Thank you for all that you do!
