GOBSMACKED IS A GOOD WORD!
What a fantastic push we can see from here...all of our amazing team can be heard breathing hard and ROARING toward a strong finish. Serving hand in hand, you are all heros to these children. GO LIONS!
We are all working, and preparing meals, and going to meetings, and getting the kids to practice, and still riding to help these children. And you have supported our rides. That is LEGENDARY. THANK YOU!
Can you help us reach the final goal of $25,000 and SUPERHERO status?
Look at this team go! We have savvy and a little spitfire and already at 69% of our goal. Can you hear the rubber burn? And it is for a wonderful cause to fight childhood cancer with Lion's pride and CTLIONSROAR!
Can you imagine reaching 48% of the goal before the challenge begins? This team astounds me with enthusiasm and focus on little lives, regardless of what goes on in their own. Let's wish them all a successful challenge, because the real winners will be children living their lives and not fighting for it.
Lions, Leos, and friends are pedaling a good deed, in part by spreading awareness about childhood cancers, and by challenging themselves to raise money for research that will help to change little lives.
"We as Lions are always looking to make a difference in the communities we serve and childhood cancer is one of the 5 pillars" (Lion Matt Johnson, Pres. Woodbury (MN) Lions Club
More team members have added themselves to our team and added 'Kicking Cancer's Butt' to their resumes! Check out their profiles and bike pictures on their individual pages. Give them a high five as they go by!
We now have 17 members for CTLIONSROAR!
Thank you friends and family for your donations that pushed us past our $5000 goal. It looks like the practice pedaling is building up speed, so the goal post will be reset to $20,000. Your contributions are mightily appreciated!
Most of us are not typically mountain bikers nor fantastically young and fit. But each rider is placing this Great Cycle Challenge into a personal daily and Lion life along with work, family, golf tournaments, and a myriad of summer food booths. They often do it in memory of someone, but also because Lions know there is a 'need'. Childhood cancer gets the short end of funding compared with breast, prostate, and colon cancers. but if it happens to your child, all the money in the world would not be enough. Thank you for supporting our team CTLIONSROAR and our RIDERS.
