    All…

We are 2/3rds of the way through the “2018 Great Cycling Challenge”. Thank you once again for your participation and your hard work on behalf of the kids and the Wipfli Chicago team. What a difference a year makes, from a weather perspective…last year warm and sunny, this year a little cooler and wetter. Admittedly, this year has been more of a challenge for me in finding the time to get out and exercise. Nevertheless, we still have 10 precious days to go in the 2018 challenge. Now is the time to step up and finish strong!

    Exercise and the brain…

There are plenty of reasons to get out and exercise. One more reason…”Adults who exercise display sharper memory skills, higher concentration levels, more fluid thinking, and greater problem-solving ability than those who are sedentary”. So if you are feeling a bit sluggish at work…get on your bike, build your brain, and take your work performance to a totally new dimension!

    Metrics…

As a team, we are ranked 258th in the nation. Specifically in the Financial Services division, we remain number 1…in the entire nation!

We have raised $1,514.05 so far this year and we have ridden a total of 782 miles. The kids thank you for your hard work and perseverance! Job well done…but we are not done just yet!

    21 Jun 2018

    All….

I wanted to take the time to thank each of you for your participation in the “2018 Great Cycle Challenge”. I thank you for stepping up to make a difference, both in our world and in the individual lives of the children that fight cancer daily just to survive. I hope you take the time to read some of the stories and connect with some of the kids that you are riding for. I hope these stories provide motivation for you as you find yourself in challenges (on a bike or in life) riding uphill into the wind. YOU are making a difference…I applaud you and I am proud that you have chosen to be part of team “Wipfli Chicago”.

This is the third year for the “Great Cycle Challenge” and this is Wipfli Chicago’s second year in fielding a team. We are in the middle of the first full week of “ The 2018 Challenge” and wanted to wish you all well as you ride in support of this wonderful cause. I look forward to hearing about your stories and connecting with you as you journey through the month of June.

I also wanted to mention that it is not too late to encourage your co-workers and those in your sphere of influence to be part of the team as well. We certainly would hate to have them miss out on being part of this experience.

I love metrics and infographics…as they are important in telling a story. As such, I had to include one factual infographic in this email and it is noted below. “Wipfli Chicago” remains in first place in the Financial Services division…for the entire nation! Job well done…but we are just getting started.

Be safe out there and I will talk with you again next week.

This June, Wipfli Chicago is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So we are raising funds through our challenge to help these kids and support Children’s Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support us by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

    Thank you.
