Last Monday I took a spill on my bike while riding with my group.
It was evident by my pain level and swelling of my ankle that I was hurt.
Over the following days, I had an X-ray done on my ankle and found that I did not break it, nor was it fractured, but I did stretch the ligament, and it was officially sprained.
R.I.C.E. was prescribed: Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation, which I have been doing as much as possible. The week goes by, more black and blue bruises show up, and one on my upper right chest is getting painful. More X-rays and an EKG, and again, just a bruised chest wall, no broken ribs or anything else. But the EKG shows an abnormality, which I have scheduled an appointment for with a cardiologist. So, this year it's 10 miles, and done. We will see what happens next year. Thank you to everyone who has donated to this cause. I truly appreciate your support for this wonderful organization.
