UPDATE from yesterday's match day in support of the Children's Cancer Research Fund thru the Great Cycle Challenge USA.
Admittedly, I was a little anxious yesterday placing a large bet on the FB algorithm to reach the people I needed to. I know my supporters AWAYS come thru for me in a BIG way. Yesterday was certainly no exception.
It was so much fun, watching the donations roll in all day long. With the first coming in just moments after I posted from my friends at Middleoftown Cycling all the way until 2330 last night with the last donation that qualified for the match from long time friend and supporter Bertha Stamper. A big thanks to the Blue Owl Crystals family that came in with an extremely generous donation that Jennifer Snyder helped facilitate.
All donations yesterday totaled over $1,250 from my supporters and the matching funds came in early this morning. Bringing our total contribution to over $2,300. In additional to this, brought our total contribution over the 9years that I have participated to $11,948!!! I can't express to you how much I appreciate your ongoing support of this cause. As you know, it is extremely important to me.
For those who may not have had an opportunity yesterday it is certainly not too late, as the window for contributions remains open until the end of October.
Sending my thanks and appreciate to those that have contributed to this year's campaign thus far: Aaron Rucker, Matt Baucum, Rod Roederer, Masterful Creations & More By Elisa , Michelle Smith Rodriguez, Nira Kinkhabwala, Beverly Hoffman, Cynthia Stone Jamar, Bertha Stamper, and Blue Owl Crystals .
Wrapping up week 1 tomorrow. Has been a great week thus far. I’ll post a quick summary of this week’s rides tomorrow.
Have been putting in the effort required to obtain this years goal. 235 miles so far!!!
Hoping for your support on Donation Match day, which has finally been announced for this Wednesday, 9 September 2026. Donations received that day will be matched. I’ll send out a reminder that morning. Please feel free to donate whenever you can.
