Due to some unrelated things I find myself on the last day with many miles to go. I will be knocking them out in several rides today, I will probably be very tired tomorrow. *laughs* Here's to the final day of 2024 GCC, and to all my fellow riders! Have a great final ride day!
For anyone watching my ride logs, you likely would have noticed a large gap. Unfortunately due to some pain issues coupled with a couple busy weeks I had to take a bit over a week off. That said, still well on track to hit 100 miles.
Thank you again to those who have sponsored me this year, every donation counts toward this worthy cause. Please enjoy another candid photo of my cat and one of his favorite sleep positions.
I meant to blog on day one, but I saddly forgot to. That said 30+ miles down and 23 days still in the event!
Almost September! Event starts soon! Let's go for the cause!
Took about five days off but back on it. Hope everyone is well!
Less than a month until the Great Cycle Challenge begins! Still time to sign up and donate!
Not September yet so still taking the rides easy. This week it's a goal of at least 4 days, with rides of 5 miles or more (on a stationary bike due both air quality and crazy drivers).
Anyone reading this there is still plenty of time to join the event too. Ride for a good cause!
There are still weeks before the actual event starts so currently everything is fund raising and riding to get into the habit daily. This being the 6th year I have participated I am confident that I can meet my goal of 100 miles over the month of September, however I still prefer to warm my daily habit up beforehand.
Normally I am worried about meeting my fund raising goal by the end, which I why I don't raise the target above $100. If I accede that goal I am very thankful in general. This year I am thankful because thanks to generousity the goal has already been met. I'll continue trying to fund raise in hopes of helping the cause as much as possible.
On a very light note: One of my cats enjoys napping on bike seats. Tonight as soon as I got off the stationary bike he hopped up to claim it as a cat bed. Lol The included image is the cat in question on one of the cat trees.
