28 days, 27 rides (22 outside on the road, and 5 miserable ones in the shed on the stationary bike). I have exceeded my mileage goal of 900, currently at 906! I will see about riding more outside tomorrow and Saturday but if the weather doesn't cooperate I'll be back in the shed!
Finally, the rain stopped and the roads are dry!! Got in a decent ride (41 miles). To bring me to 881 out of 900! I know that I will finish those 19 miles tomorrow even if I am forced back inside (due to more rain according to the forecast). But I will ride as much as I can outside to finish this challenge! It has been a great year once again thanks to my super supportive donors!
I really want the rain to go away, down to the last 4 days of riding and 60.5 miles to go. The stationary bike just doesn't allow me to get in the miles as easily.
Well, tropical storm Ophelia is still causing rain here in NJ I have put in my time both Saturday and Sunday on the old stationary bike, but it is more painful than riding on the road. I am holding out hope that the weather clears up and I can get out for a ride soon! 109 miles to go!
Three weeks done! So VERY thankful for my super awesome friends and family without your generous donations I was able to meet my first and second fundraising goal before the end of the month!
Now it is up to me to hit my second mileage goal! I hit the first one (700 miles) on my ride today! 8 days and 185 more miles!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
After the rainy day yesterday and having to do my pedaling on the old stationary bike it felt great to get out side and ride with my new Super Hero jersey! Getting very close to both goals... keep them turning!
I was so happy to meet my fundraising goal last Wednesday that I decided to ride an imperial century ride on Friday, what a start to the weekend. 155 miles in three days, hopefully it will stop raining and dry out today so I can add to that since I still have 317 miles to go to meet my new 900 mile goal!
I am totally blown away by all my friends, family and colleagues (past and present) who have been so very generous in their support of my taking on this Challenge!
Since the match day was such a huge success I have decided to raise both of my goals.
A VERY big thank you to all those who have taken the time to donate to my Challenge today! I have passed the 400 mile point in my ride goal! We will keep going beyond the 700 miles!
Crossed the half way mark on my fundraising today. Smashed through the first half of my miles yesterday!! What a great week!
