Dear Friends and supporters,
Today is a VERY exciting day! It only comes once during this month of September. I am so happy you are encouraging me and helping to make the treatments and research happen for children with cancer!
Did you know one of the side effect of having chemo is bad teeth and Neuropathy? How awful to have to continuously go to the dentist and to possibly not be able to have feeling in your feet or hands?? These children need better treatments.
Thank you for your interest.
Rachel
Dear Friends,
If you are just catching up with me please read previous postings as well.
My niece is doing GREAT! She has had her port removed. Her recent scan said everything looked "good." Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She is why I took on this Cycle Challenge in the first place. Stephanie is now starting her Senior year at college! We are all so thankful for the Lord's daily mercies!
Follow me as I ride my bike to raise funds and awareness for children's cancer research. Our kids need much better treatments!
Thank you for your donation and interest!
Rachel
Hello Friends,
My niece has now completed her Chemo for the year and recently her Proton Therapy Radiation. Please pray that this latest treatment has worked! She is in great spirits and is VERY happy to finish off the rest of summer without any more treatments!! I am not sure what is next but will update as I can.
Enjoy this recent picture of Stephanie and her new puppy Agathe.
Thank you for your continued support for children with cancer and the research that needs to take place. Every little $$ helps! I appreciate YOU!
Rachel
Hello Friends,
I want to update you. My niece Stephanie is getting set up to start Proton Therapy in the very near future. She finished a whole year of Chemo Therapy and her Junior year at college. She had two tumors, one in her left shoulder and one in her pelvic area. The tumor in her shoulder is no longer visiable so they will continue to target her pelvic area tumor. Please continue to pray for her and the family.
I look forward to continuing to ride in the Great Cycle Challenge (my 6th year participating and the Challenge's 10th year of existance) to raise awarenss and funds for Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Thank you for your interest in this endeavor and in Stephanie's challenge to beat cancer!
Sincerely,
Rachel
