As I embark on my 12th year participating in the Great Cycle Challenge, I’m reminded of the journey that brought me here. Ten years ago today, I faced a life-changing moment when I was hit by a car during this very event. Thankfully, I’m alive and well, and I cherish every moment with my grandchildren, knowing they are safe.
This challenge is about more than just cycling; it’s about raising crucial funds for children’s cancer research. Every dollar we raise brings us closer to a world where children can grow up healthy and free from the grips of cancer.
