Thank You! - Challenge Wrap Up

Hello everyone! Today is the final day of The Great Cycle Challenge for 2024. I really appreciate the support and generosity from each and every one of you for this very successful year and continued support over the years. I certainly hope I can count on all of you for years to come. Together we have made a great difference for young lives and I am very honored to have everyone stand with me as the challenge comes to a close. This year’s challenge by far exceeded my expectations and looking back on the last four years has just blown me away thinking about what we’re doing together.

Together we raised $3321 and that motivated me to far exceed my mileage goal finishing at 515 miles for the month. Each year we have done better and it is all thanks to all of you! We really are making an impact for the future of Childhood Cancer research and treatments for the children and families that face this very scary diagnosis.

Once again thank you all so much for your support for this cause! I will ride each September to honor Children’s Cancer and Blood Cancer Awareness. I am so grateful to have all of you join me for this year after year. Words cannot truly express how much that means to me!

Mileage Goal Achieved

Today’s ride has put me over my mileage goal! Once again appreciate everyone on this mission and I’ll keep riding the remainder of the month to celebrate the success of this year and all the four years combined! I’m very proud of what we were able to accomplish together!

Kick Cancer’s Butt Day Thank You

To everyone - I sincerely appreciate everyone’s support with a donation on this special day, prior days, and hopefully days to come. I am overwhelmed by all of your generosity as each year we continue to grow our portion of the money we raise for this cause. Plain and simple, this is successful because of all of you! This year is my fourth in this challenge and has been the best to date. We welcomed several new supporters and many continued supporters. As a result we have far surpassed our goal and exceeded my expectations by so much! I can’t wait to see the final result of funds and the matching donations!

It seems now I have my work cut out for me to reach the mileage goal set. I will continue my personal challenge of daily riding as long as I can and should have this 300 mile goal met soon. Support from everyone here has me inspired to far exceed the 300 miles, and I will do my best for all of you! While I’m riding I will be smiling as I reflect on what we’re doing together and thinking of each of you as I have special memories and moments with all of you.

I will also think about and never forget what I went through as an adult with 6 rounds of hard chemotherapy. As a relatively healthy adult it was not easy to handle. The children we are supporting go through the same treatments as adults and it must be so difficult for their smaller bodies to absorb. That is just heartbreaking to imagine and I believe that we are making a difference for the kids and their families that have to confront this disease.

I will continue to ride each September in this challenge to recognize and honor both Children’s Cancer and Blood Cancer Awareness month! I hope to have your continued support and watch this grow for years to come, together!

Kick Cancer’s Butt Day

Tuesday September 10 is Kick Cancer’s Butt Day! Your donation will be doubled! Thank you to the sponsors that have made this happen again!

For some of you that know me know that I have a ride streak I’m working on for consecutive days ridden outdoors (including snowy winter days). Tuesday will be my 400th day and what a great way to celebrate with double donations! Tuesday is also my 19th anniversary with my wife and yet again another great way to celebrate! I’m very excited for Tuesday and cannot wait to see what happens!
