My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.

Anthony

    Hi,

THANK YOU for supporting my efforts in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer.

Your generous donation will support Children's Cancer Research Fund to continue their work to develop innovative treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Because cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in the United States – 38 children die of cancer every week.

But with your support, we hope to change that.

    Thanks for your support

Cancer SUCKS. Losing a family member this week reminds me that cancer shows no mercy. Young or old, cancer has impacted us all one way or another. We all know someone that has suffered. The families suffer as well. During my ride this morning, I was thinking about the fact that my ride is small in comparison (sore legs etc.) to what a kid or an adult and their families go thru to fight cancer to have more time with their loved ones.

How can I do more, and how can I help? Kept running thru my head. With already several miles logged and several days into the month, how can I do more? I started the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer by riding 150 miles and looking to raise $500. I beat my goal of $500 in just a matter of days! Because of the support that I received, I then increased my goal to $1000. Crushed my second goal of $1,000, I then decided to increase my goal again to $2,000. SO what else can I do? Here is what I can do- I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't keep challenging myself, and I challenge you, my family, and friends that have not already donated to please donate TODAY (if you have already THANK YOU, but please like or share this message). I have increased my goal yet again to $2,500 AND will double my ride should I hit the $2,500 mark, riding 300 mile total (go ahead and challenge me), with half the month left to do it. Also, because today is Kick Cancer's Butt Day, ALL donations will be MATCHED by supporters of the charity up to $1,200,000 - so it's the best time to support my challenge to help these kids.

Please sponsor me now, and your donation will be MATCHED - but hurry, it's for today ONLY! Just click here https://greatcyclechallenge.com/Riders/AnthonyBadalamenti

    2 Sep 2020

Morning ride with a quick pit stop.

I only logged a few miles yesterday so I'm looking to pick up a few more today.

I will continue to keep my sponsors updated throughout the month.

If you haven't donated yet (you know who you are ;)), please do so, it only takes a minute (click on the link below). Keep in mind who you are helping, children like Harriet and their families fight the battle against cancer.

Morning ride with a quick pit stop.

This year was my first time hearing about GCC (Great Cycle Challenge) and participating. So I accepted the challenge to get on my bike (riding both trails and road) and ride this September to fight kids' cancer, in association with GCC and Children's Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) is a national nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood cancer. I then challenged my friends and family to help me reach $500 in donations. Well, I beat my goal of $500 in just a matter of days! Because of the support that I received and then increased my goal to $1000.

Now I have crushed my second goal of $1,000. Thank you to all that donated! Even during these crazy/hard times, people are not only generous but find it in their hearts to still help others. With that, I am challenging you and myself. I've decided to increase my goal again to $2,000. If you haven't had a chance to donate, please do so by following the link below (its real simple to donate). If you've already given, or can't this year, please try to encourage someone else to donate. Even $5 goes a long way for these kids. Any amount would be fantastic. All donations go directly to cancer research, and all donations are tax-deductible. Finally, I recently received my GCC jersey, and I am excited to ride the 150 miles in September. I’ll challenge you to help in raising donations while challenging myself in riding the 150 miles.
