My Story

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Cancer has been something that I have personally seen affect my family and friends. Although I’m fortunate to have not battled cancer myself, I have seen the toll it can take on a human body, and the impact it has on supporters and loved ones of those impacted by the disease. That is why this year I feel more compelled than ever to participate in the Great Cycle Challenge throughout the month of September. I’m setting out to do my part by raising and contributing to cancer research in hope to gain more knowledge of the disease and how to support those directly and indirectly impacted by it.

In addition to fundraising, I have set a goal to bike 100 miles over the course of this month. My brother-in-law, Jonathan Graves, tragically passed away last year in his fight against lung cancer. As he was an avid outdoorsman, and competitive runner and cyclist, he’ll be at the front of my mind, always, but especially during this effort.

I would love for you all to join me throughout this month, as well as consider donating to the cause and/or sharing this if you are able. Together, we can make a difference!
