My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Fighting cancer myself, I know what Chemo treatments every month for the last 4.5 years, and a stem cell transplant 3.5 years ago is like. I've lived a good long life and plan to continue for hopefully quite some time. I CAN NOT imagine what it would be like to receive a cancer diagnoses at 4 or 5 years old, or what a child's parent must go through with that kind of diagnoses. Finding this challenge helped snap me out the depression I went through at the beginning. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
