I'm Riding For

My Mother Charlotte; and Dr. / Mr. Neal Brown.

My Mother Charlotte; and Dr. / Mr. Neal Brown.

Not children, but who I'm riding for in 2021: My Mother Charlotte (recent cancer diagnosis) and Dr. / Mr. Neal Brown who passed away this year on July 20, 2021.

My Story

12 Oct 2021

10/12/2021-First ride since foot surgery on 28 Sept 2021. 86F, 56% humidity. I'm at 275.3 miles (of 200 pledged) and this will most likely be my last ride due to neck surgery pending later this month (and I have a lot of house projects that need to get accomplished prior to!).

9/20/21-Cranked 14 miles today, caught in a thunderstorm mid-way through, soaked, all good ... lightning didn't get me lol. Exceeded my 200 mile ride goal--at almost 211 now!

9/18/21-My USAF's 74th Birthday today!

Rode 53.24 miles from Ft Walton Beach, FL to Panama City with FWB Team Red, White and Blue's Old Glory shadow relay.

9/16/21-Goal raised to $6K (from $5K) today!

9/6/21-Found out my Mother does have cancer ... she will only have to do radiation.

8/24/21 UPDATED-This Sept 2021, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! I am very late getting this kicked off [today] due to moving from Alaska to Florida in late June, and trying to get settled in here. I am fighting some health issues of my own which I will have to overcome to do this riding. My bicycle is still in 50 pieces as well LoL, and I will work to get it assembled ASAP.

I was selected as a GCC Champion for 2021, and so I have to put a "champion effort" into promoting the challenge in my local community (new -= FL / old = AK) --I will be recruiting riders to join my team, sharing much more, engaging companies for sponsorships, talking to local media, etc. For everyone who sees this, please share on your social media platforms and raise awareness.

Why do we do this? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support WILL change children's lives. Thank you.

Love & blessings to you & yours! Sincerely, Jesse.
