My Story

7 Aug 2020

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve. AND I've created a team for my company "IMRIS, "Geared Up For Good"! Please consider a donation and watch our daily progress during the month of September!

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.

  • Hit my updated goal of 700!
    27 Jul 2020

Hit the 700 so my husband said why not $1500?

I gasped and said "Ya, why not?" And I took off on my longest ride. I was fueled by the story of Ellie, who would be lying on an operating room bed at Boston Children's Hospital. Ellie has a Neuroblastoma, a "Neuroblastoma is a rare cancer that develops in a part of the peripheral nervous system called the sympathetic nervous system. It is diagnosed in about 700 children in the United States each year. Since some of the sympathetic nervous system cells are concentrated in the adrenal glands, which sit above the kidneys, neuroblastoma often starts growing there."

I personally know this because the company I work for works directly with the neurosurgeons at Boston Children's. They are a skilled grown of individuals that make up a larger group of amazing, intense and beautiful humans who have given their lives to give these kids a chance at writing their own stories! I hope this little story moves your to give just a little to help the Children's Cancer Research! - God Bless you!
