Eliana

This year marks my eighth year participating in the Great Cycle Challenge, and I am riding in memory of my mother, who passed away from cancer at a very young age after a long and painful battle with the disease. Her fight is something I will never forget. I know firsthand the pain cancer brings not only to those fighting it, but also to the families who love them and stand beside them. That is why I continue to ride. This ride is also my personal tribute to my mother. Although cancer took her from us far too soon, it could never erase the love, memories, and lasting place she holds in my life. I carry her memory with me every day, and with every mile I ride, I honor her life and the strength it took to endure such a difficult battle. I wish she were still here, but I hope that by doing this in her memory, I can help another family have more time with someone they love. Over the past eight years, I have ridden more than 1,300 miles and raised nearly $6,000 to support the fight against childhood cancer. This year, I have committed to riding another 200 miles and raising at least $1,000 for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. Every mile is for my mother, but also for the children fighting cancer today and for the families hoping and praying for a cure. Cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States. More research is urgently needed to develop safer and more effective treatments. I am asking for your help. If 40 people donate just $25, we can reach $1,000. Every donation, no matter the amount, can make a difference. If you are able to donate, I would be deeply grateful. If you cannot, please consider sharing my page with family and friends. Eight years. More than 1,300 miles. Nearly $6,000 raised. And I am not finished yet.

My Story

3 Sep 2026

This year marks my eighth year participating in the Great Cycle Challenge, and I am riding in memory of my mother, who passed away from cancer at a very young age after a long and painful battle with the disease.

Her fight is something I will never forget. I know firsthand the pain cancer brings not only to those fighting it, but also to the families who love them and stand beside them. That is why I continue to ride.

Over the past eight years, I have ridden more than 1,300 miles and raised nearly $6,000 to support the fight against childhood cancer. This year, I have committed to riding another 500 miles and raising at least $1,000 for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund.

Every mile I ride is in memory of my mother, but it is also for the children fighting cancer today and for the families hoping and praying for a cure.

Cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease among children in the United States. Too many children are still losing their lives, and more research is urgently needed to develop safer and more effective treatments.

I am asking for your help. If 40 people donate just $25, we can reach $1,000. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps fund research that can give children a better chance at a healthy future.

If you are able to donate, I would be deeply grateful. If you cannot, please consider sharing my page with family and friends. A simple share can help this campaign reach someone who may want to make a difference.

Eight years. More than 1,300 miles. Nearly $6,000 raised.

And I am not finished yet.

I ride in memory of my mother. I ride for the children fighting cancer today. And I ride in the hope that one day, no family will have to experience the pain that cancer brought to mine.

Thank you for supporting my ride and this important cause.
