In the spring of 2016, our niece Abbie was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. In June 2017, she lost her hard-fought battle with the disease.

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge in Abbie’s memory and to help fight childhood cancer.

Why am I riding?

Cancer remains the leading cause of death from disease among children in the United States.

The National Cancer Institute estimated that 14,690 children and adolescents ages 0–19 would be diagnosed with cancer in 2025, and approximately 1,650 would die from the disease.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

Through this challenge, I am raising awareness and funds for Children’s Cancer Research Fund. Donations support lifesaving research focused on developing safer, more effective treatments; and ultimately cures; for childhood cancer.
