This is my 9th year riding in this challenge and to be honest I have really been struggling with signing up, do I believe it is a worthy cause absolutely but the first several years I was doing it for people unknown to me and since, I have rode in honor of Whitney Kirkeby a lovely granddaughter of a very dear friend and she lost her battle, then another very dear friend of mine lost her vivacious, sweet, loving great grandson, Isaac Lauf to this horrid disease! Now one of our local boys Cade McKinley is fighting with all he is against this nasty disease, puts a whole new meaning on it when you see it up close and personal, I know it should probably make me want to fundraiser all the more but the reality for me isn't the donations, it is the honor of riding in memory of Whitney and Isaac and cheering on Cade as he fights the fight,.he has been amazing through it all! If you do feel inclined to donate it is appreciated but I am not pushing that this year.
