I'm Riding For
Brielle Havermann
My niece, Brielle Havermann, developed a very rare and aggressive form of cancer at the young age of 4. Amputating her leg, via specialists in Boston, was the only way she would be able to beat her cancer. What a big and overwhelming decision for her parents to make. But with medical advances, faith in the Lord, a wolf-pack of family support and some serious "never quit" attitude... Brielle's journey since has been nothing but a miracle. Today, Brielle is 20 and can stand proud as both a National, Special Olympics Champion and a National Paralympian in Swimming. She is also embarking into her Sophomore Year at The University of Omaha! Go get 'em kiddo!! Brielle's story, albeit extremely challenging even today (can you imagine having a prosthetic leg in college), is a success story. Help me support children's cancer so others can beat this terrible disease and share their own successes in the future!!
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
