Hailee Harrell

In May of 2015, at 2 years old, Hailee was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is the most common childhood cancer. It occurs when a bone marrow cell develops errors in its DNA. Hailee underwent 2 years of treatment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As of now Hailee is 8 years old and has been off of therapy since August of 2017. She is a brave, healthy, outgoing, beautiful little girl that was given a second chance at life.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! My superstar is Hailee Harrell as her story is below. I am riding because of her as she is a awesome example of what cancer research can and will do.

Cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
