I'm Riding For
Dawn and Barbara and my late Aunt Karolene

I am riding for my sister Dawn who was born with a tumor in her stomach, and turned out to be a great sister, a great mother to her children, and a great teacher inspiring many more generations. I am also riding for my mother-in-law, Barbara, who suffered cancer later in her life, has shared many other’s battles with cancer, but has maintained a great smiling attitude through these battles and keeps me motivated to do more. This year, I am concentrating on my late Aunt Karolene. She died very young of Lukemia, and was buried at Oak Hills Burial Park in Lakeland, FL, 2/19/75. Block 130, Lot 3, Space 4. I will end my 500 mile ride at her grave site and lay flowers this year, and every year I participate from now on. I was not alive back when she passed, but I am loving my family more and more in these dark times. We will see each other through and there is a bright light on the other side. Keep the faith. GOD bless everyone.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
