Linda Spencer Fales

This year besides the kids, I will be also riding for our dear friend Linda Fales, who recently was diagnosed with "Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia" a rare blood cancer. Steve and Linda Fales have been friends of Dolores and mine for at least 30+ years. I'm allowed to ride for 1 other child or adult diagnosed with this horrible disease. I've done this for 9 years now with friends and total strangers whom I've become friends with over the years. I use the time on my bike to pray for them all, it's sometimes very difficult because of the Florida heat and the crazy traffic we have here. I'm not getting any younger, but this is my passion, to help these kids have a normal life, as well as my dear friends. I want to thank all my contributors and those who just pray for them as well as my safety on our SoFlo roads. THANK YOU all for your great support and generosity.

My Story

This September 2025 will be my 9th year riding for these wonderful kids. I went reto with my photo to 2017, when I started this adventure for these kids. I once again will be doing my best to accomplish the goals I've set for myself in the "Great Cycle Challenge To Fight Kids' Cancer". My goal this year, is to pedal 200 miles in September. I've shortened my milage goals, because of having a total knee replacement. I haven't totally recovered, so I'm trying to be realistic but will still shoot for more miles if possible. I hope you will join with me again to raise my $$$ goal. I'll do all the sweating and the rest on my bike. I know many of you will join with me on this journey to help these kids. Thank you all

Why am I doing this? Because cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States - 38 kids die every week.
