In this world, there are very few things that I've experienced that would bring a person to their knees. When my niece called me, in 2016, thats exactly what happened. Her 6 year old son, my great nephew, London was diagnosed with leukemia. I fell to my knees before she even finished that terrible word. London finished up his last Chemo in 11/19, and is in remission! He is one of the lucky ones, although I'm quite certain in that 3.5 year period he felt anything but lucky. Dealing with the chemo, medications, side effects of medications, countless hospital/Dr visits, his port, feeding tube, not being able to go to school...I could go on and on but I won't. London is a rock star frankly so is his mother ♡
