My late wife DeeDee

Although DeeDee's (my wife) cancer was not childhood cancer, her 10 year fight was real, and in the end a very sad and fast deterioration. Riding to help raise funds for cancer research is just one way of honoring her memory.

My Story

I ride in memory of my wife and her 10 year fight against cancer. As many know, her battle ended in October 2020. (As if 2020 wasn't bad enough!)

For those who knew her, DeeDee was a ray of sunshine who always made people feel special. That cancer brought an untimely end the her life is an unfair tragedy that just cannot be explained.

Although hers was not childhood cancer, I firmly believe that breakthroughs in childhood cancer can open doors to treatment options for other forms of cancer. Ultimately #CancerSucks!

So, for the 9th consecutive year, I am riding to help support Cancer Research so scientists can continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure.
