Andy Brady

John M. Register, a resident of Kill Devil Hills, passed away on April 23, 2021 after a six-month battle with cancer. For the past 20 years, John has been a Realtor/Broker principally with Village Realty in Nags Head. He also participated actively in the Outer Banks Board of Realtors, holding leadership positions. John will be remembered by his fellow realtors, clients, and building contractors as a true professional, dedicated and loyal. It was a profession he loved and gave his all to insure there were no issues left unresolved. The future Outer Banks Hospital Outpatient Cancer Treatment Center will house the John Register CT Scanner Area.

🚴‍♂️ This September 2025 marks my 6th year riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer!

Why do I ride? Because cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Each year, more than 15,700 children are diagnosed—and tragically, 38 kids lose their lives to cancer every single week.

Kids should be out riding bikes, laughing, and living life—not fighting for it.

That’s why I’m raising funds to support the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, helping them continue their vital work to develop lifesaving treatments and ultimately find a cure.
