This year, I am riding IN HONOR OF MY MOTHER-IN-LAW and the inspiring example of a Christian woman, wife, and mother she has been before, during, and after her cancer diagnosis. Mothers-in-law often get a bad rap, but this amazing lady has been like a 2nd mom to me since I was a teenager. She has supported me, encouraged me, and prayed for me as much as my own parents have over the years. Which is why, in 2006, we were all devastated to learn that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Throughout all of the surgeries and treatments she endured, she inspired everyone around her-- especially her husband and their 4 daughters-- with her faith, grace, and strength. Thankfully, our countless prayers were answered and she emerged cancer-free after about a year. Our Marme continues to motivate and inspire us by her Christian example, and we thank God for blessing us with her presence in our lives!

My Story

For the 4th year in a row, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? In 1993, I lost a really close friend named Brian to leukemia. And after all these years, more kids still die from cancers than from any other disease. More than 15,700 families receive a terrifying diagnosis every year.

So after raising $3425 last year (and OVER $7700 since 2021!!) I am trying to raise even more money through this challenge to help kids who are suffering, along with their families, and support the Children's Cancer Research Fund. This fundraiser allows them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
