On 2 August 2005, my brother lost his battle with brain cancer. Not a day goes by he's not in my thoughts. Several years ago I stumbled on the Great Cycle Challenge as a way to raise money to help the Children's Cancer Research fund. As I go into my 6th year with this fund raiser, I ask that you please consider supporting my ride and help Kick Cancer's Butt! If you're local, I'd love to share a ride with you. This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer for my 6th year.

I'm riding because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

The funds I raise through this challenge will be used to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund. It will allow the CCRF to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

The last five years I have ridden a total of 793 miles and raised a total of more than $6580. This year, I only have two weeks to ride, so I commit to ride at least 200 miles with stretch goal of 250 miles, and to raise $1000. I will ride the miles, but I need your help to raise the money!
