My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

    “I'm donating and participating in the 100-mile Great Cycle challenge in memory of my Aunt, the late Alice "Betty Clifton." I want to be a vessel to fight all levels and types of cancer, regardless of whether it is children's cancer or breast cancer, which my aunt battled before her passing in 2005. My aunt loved being a librarian, and she started programs during her work at South Jersey County Library in Atco, N.J. For example, the Home Educators Club, crafts, and more. As a result of these firsts, she was awarded the New York Times 2004 Librarian of the Year for New Jersey. She received proclamations from Camden County, Gloucester County Board of Freeholders, Camden County Library, Congressman Robert E. Andrews, and a personal inspirational call from poet and author Dr Maya Angelou. She also loved listening to music, gardening, and reading.”
