Robert "Bob" Snyder

Robert "Bob" Snyder

Bob is a caring husband, father of three, and avid cyclist. He participated in many fundraising cycling events for others. Little did he know that that on August 4th, 2023 that he would be diagnosed with terminal brain cancer (three tumors which are all Glioblastoma Multiforme). While his short term memory was immediately affected, I, began the role as the primary caretaker with my mom Jodi. My dad and I spent many hours talking late into the night, eating all our meals together, walks through the neighborhood and on the beach, watching murder mystery tv shows, and just comforting each other. Unfortunately the aggressiveness of the cancer could not be stopped and my dad passed away last year on September 8th. He is loved and missed everyday. He also was an avid 10k mile year cyclist and still inspires me to ride each day. Dad, I love you beyond any earthly words that can be spoken. Thank you for raising me to love others, and most of all for always being my best friend. May these donations in your name, bless and help young lives so they may have a fighting chance at a long and fruitful life. Till we meet again...

My Story

28 Jun 2024

This September, I am once again taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.

    1 Sep 2024

Well it’s September again and today marks the very first day of the Great Cycle Challenge in support of funding research to cure childhood cancer.

Last year, I rode over 1,100 miles in the month of September while also caring for dad who was dying from a sudden and aggressive brain cancer. I am ride again this year in his memory and on September 29th, I will be riding in the Dahlonega, GA ride called Six Gap through the Appalachian mountains in Georgia.

It’s going to be a great month of riding while also juggling my commitment to my family and work. Stay tuned for updates and to read more about how I’m progressing throughout the month.
