Too many to list but for 2026 it will be for Mom and Scott Smith.

Not children, but who I'm riding for in 2026: Charlotte Davis (Mom) who passed on 26 Apr 2026, after her 2nd bout with lung cancer. Scott Smith. Tracey who starts treatment tomorrow (10 Sept). Pamala who rcvd bad news today (and who's been on my list in the past).

9 Sept 2026 (2nd Weds of the month). Matching Day, doing very well so far, thanks everyone! 170/400 miles completed so far.

I'm adding Tracey in SC and Pamala in NC back on my "riding for" list today. Cancer sucks, praying for those fighting it still.

1 Sept 2026-15 miles on my recumbent stationary bike, good start towards my 400 miles.

Hi friends! This September 2026, for my 9th straight year (2,720 miles and almost $43K raised to date, thanks y'all!), I am riding 400+ miles in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Every 2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer. It's the largest killer of children from disease in the USA... Kids should be living life, not fighting for it. All funds raised will support Children's Cancer Research Fund to develop treatments and find a cure for childhood cancers.

I'm selected again as a Florida GCC Champion for 2026, and so I have to put a "champion effort" into promoting the challenge in my local community--sharing much more daily, engaging companies for sponsorships, talking to local media, etc. For everyone who sees this, please share on your social media platforms and raise awareness.

Why do we do this? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
