My Story
This September and for the 7th year in a row, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. When I began my participation in this effort my wife and I personally didn't know any families who were gripped by this horrible disease; we rode because we were blessed with two healthy kids. Over the past 7 years, though, I have been blown away about how many kids and families within our circle of friends have been affected. We've ridden for several AND we've ridden for some adults as well. Marilyn and I are another year older and the bones are getting stiffer, but that's nothing compared to what these kids have to deal with, so we ride, we deal with our aches and hope and pray for the cure your donations will help fund.
The GCC tagline says it best: "Kids should be living life, not fighting for it."
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
