My Story
I have had one of those bad days. Just changed my chemo and it's hard to get use to it. I have lived a magical life, and have ridden my bicycle 100 plus mi. seven days in a row! Wow, now I am signing up for 100 in a month, cancer has changed my life, BUT, I have had all but the last 5 years to be free, feel the wind in my face going downhill, get up and ride my bike to school, so I am not complaining. I AM PISSED,thet ANY child doesn't get that chance. To be free, happy, explore. Not just dream of maybe one day as they only know waking up with a tube in their nose, more pokes and sickening medicines. To only know blue sky's from a hospital bed. I have thousands and thousands of adventures on two wheels and thousands raising money for research. Now I will challenge myself to put 100 mi . more on a body well used to give any kid the chance to be FREE. Research is the only reason I am alive today. 20 years ago I would be dead, Little children, like my 4 mo. old Max never got the chance to be a kid. Help me help them. I know people in research. they are passionate about their work and so am I. Get on a bike, or get out your checkbook, or both. 100 mi. is not a drop in the bucket to my cycling legacy, but I crashed into cancers wall. Help me help them TEAR DOWN THAT WALL.!! The kids are what we need to be fighting for. Your kid.....They are warriors, let us be!!!
