I'm Riding For

Carol, Dahlia & Mary

We lost Carol to cancer just over 12 years ago. It was so fast that it is still hard to believe that she is gone. I am doing this to honor her life as well help others who suffer from cancer. A few years ago not one but two of my friend's daughters were diagnosed with leukemia and recently Dahlia lost her battle. That is why I dedicate my rides to them and in honor of them. I just could not imagine a child and their family going through this. Riding and raising money to help fight cancer is the least I can do. Just this year my aunt was diagnosed with cancer and is still fighting her battle. So this it means even more to me. I also have a friend who is fighting cancer and losing her battle so I dedicate my rides to her too.

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
