This past year my family lost members to cancer. A couple of my close friends also lost loved ones. It is painful to watch the struggle one goes through to fight this monster, conversely, empowering to watch their spirt and strength shine through during that battle. The power of that spirt is what I strive to channel in honor of their memory.

As I struggle through personal ups and downs I stay grounded with the understanding that there are many people in world whose struggle is greater than my own. I try to push forward with purpose, determination and with gratitude for all I am blessed with.

My purpose for the month of September is to ride for Children's Cancer Research and in memory of Loved ones. I will play a small part in the fight against one of the monsters of the world, to give our littles a fighting chance at life. I ride in the names of all the children battling this monster called Cancer. I ride with the joy and innocence these children still have in their strife. I ride with the strength of the parents that endure the pain of watching their children fight and struggle.
