It has been just over a year since my mom, Cindy Moore, passed away from cancer. My mom had a passion for teaching and spent much of my life working to teach middle school kids the humanities in the Issaquah school district. My mom cared deeply about the education, health, and wellbeing of kids.

Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer.

I am raising funds through this challenge to help kids and support the Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
