Year 6 of the GCC for me!

I had intended to do this ride in 2019, then wouldn't you know it? Cancer!

HER2+ Stage 2 Grade 3 Breast Cancer and a yearlong treatment protocol kept me from my bike until July 2020.

2026 marks 7 years without Cancer. It also celebrates my friend Aubrey, who will be 7 in October and celebrating life post rhabdomyosarcoma caused by Li-Fraumeni syndrome (LFS). Aubrey's mama, Kristine and I were Cancer-Mates in 2019 while she was pregnant with Aubrey, thus cementing a special bond. I'm hoping this September to be able to meet the 300 mile goal while I pedal with Aubrey and Kristine close at heart.

I’m riding for all those impacted by cancer, but especially the kids- no one deserves a cancer diagnosis- EVER- but especially children.
