I'm Riding For

Bella

If you remember, a few years ago, we rode for Bella. Bella was only 5 years old when she was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma, a form of liver cancer, and underwent two liver transplants. Well, that was 9 years ago; this is Bella today (well, this is a 2 year old photo) thanks in part to people like us, but mostly because she is one strong kid with a stronger family! Bella has been so healthy, busy with "normal" 14 year old things -- being active outside, reading, playing piano, playing with friends, and being a fabulous sister. Bella had her yearly oncology check up and everything went well. This marks 8 years in remission 🙌👏 None of us is as strong as all of us, so let's join together and continue to help kids like Bella. There are thousands of kids like her; that’s who you’re helping! Please, every little bit counts. Thanks in advance, my friends.

First, the great news - Bella, our guiding light over the last few years, is doing great today, thanks in large part to friends like you. But she represents the possibilities and hope for the over 15,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year.

If you are receiving this e-mail then you recognize that quote from my friend Jerry, 9/11 first responder, whose legacy has helped us support the Cause before, while asking for nothing in return. I know he appreciates all you’ve done in the past to support his legacy & that of many others.

In September, I am riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Today, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the US. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

KIDS SHOULD BE LIVING LIFE, NOT FIGHTING FOR IT!

Let's join together to help these kids & support Children's Cancer Research Fund, allowing them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
